1Password Stops working in Safari
This has been happening for a few months now. I thought it was fixed with the recent update to the Safari extension, but alas it was not. Here is the issue:
Seemingly at random intervals, the Safari extension stops filling in usernames and passwords. The correct login appears as selectable but clicking on it does nothing. If I try hitting the extension button in the toolbar the current website doesn't show as suggested, and if I search for it still won't autofill. Here's an example of what I mean (I removed the actual login information but you get the gist):
The only way to fix it is to shut the 1Password app down completely, and it will work for a bit. There's no pattern I can find to how long it will work for, but I have to do this dance multiple times per day on every machine I am using.
The Safari extension shows that it is connected to the Desktop app as well:
1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.54 (81054013)
Extension Version: 8.10.52.25 81052025
OS Version: macOS 15.2
Browser: Safari
Thank you for sharing the result of your discussion with our support team with the community. This is indeed a known issue that our team still has open to get fixed in the future.
For the time being, avoiding the use of pinned tabs in Safari will allow anyone affected to workaround the issue.

Son of a bitch... this was it. Had been driving me nuts for weeks and hadn't associated the timing with this of starting to use pinned tabs for the first time.
Okay, well, 1Password is more useful to me than pinned tabs, but please, devs, can we get this fixed?

OMG this has been driving me nuts for months and finally found this post. Can confirm the moment I unpinned my tabs it started working again.

Glad it helped!

and it only happens when one of the pinned tabs is the active tab of another window. I suspect this is structural in macOS to how pinned tabs work. So the workaround is click a different tab in the other window than the pinned tab.

Brilliant. I was so ready to scream BS when I read this until I realized Amazon was one of my pinned tabs and is one that more likely gets left open. I couldn’t figure out why the problem comes and goes despite my not wanting to remove pinned tabs. Tested and confirmed.
Hopefully there will be a fix now but at least there’s a workaround.
Cheers

I have 2 pinned tabs ... (thanks).

I spoke with support and it is due to having a pinned tab. They're aware of the issue but didn't say much beyond that.

I have a similar problem. Same behavior (after some period of time 1P suggest bat don't fills the password). It recovers for some time exiting 1P.
