Browser Extension filling username instead of email for Atlassian cloud login URL
Hello,
I have a "Login" type credential in my 1Password vault for my employer's SSO login process. My username is my employer id. I added an additional field "email" to store my work email address via editing the credential record > "+ add more" > "Email" and filling in the email address + saving.
I have a few apps and websites linked to this credential record. Logging into some websites with SSO, like Figma, show this login record in the suggested login item per the credential's name and username saved values and populate the email address into the email type field:
Figma email field at https://www.figma.com/ > Login button: <input class="branded_inputs_2024_brand_update--input--PFtu- auth_2024_brand_updates--figmaSans--TbNxo lazy_input--lazyInput--1mJeW" name="email" placeholder="Email" type="email" id="email" autocomplete="username" autocapitalize="off" autocorrect="off" aria-invalid="false" aria-describedby="email-error-text" dir="auto" value="">
When I try to log in to any Atlassian Cloud product at id.atlassian.com/login, it shows the same SSO credential but enters the username instead. This throws a warning from the Atlassian Login page as it isn't an email format.
Atlassian "Enter your email" field at https://www.id.atlassian.com/login:<input aria-describedby="username-uid14-helper" aria-labelledby="username-uid14-label" id="username" autocomplete="username" type="email" data-ds--text-field--input="true" data-testid="username" name="username" placeholder="Enter your email" class="css-1kxou5n" value="">
What can I do so the Atlassian login page fills in the email address instead of the username?
A very redacted view of this credential in my 1PasswordVault and on the Atlassian login screen:
