Track URLs in non-Login/Password fields to suggest passwords

I have the details of my wireless router stored in a Wireless Router object within the 1Password store. The URL of the router - your typical 192.168.0.1 type affair - is stored in the object, but 1Password never offers me the password when logging in to the admin console of the router. Instead, once I've copied the password manually from 1Password, it then pops up and asks if I want to save the password for the website 192.168.0.1.

Could we enable tracking URLs across the whole app, and suggest passwords from those places? Wireless Routers and Servers I would imagine are particularly useful here.

  • Hello, @smallcheese.

A Wireless Router or Server items are not intended for auto-filling in the browser; rather, they store your server/router's information for manual sharing or use. For this case, I recommend creating a Login item and saving your router's credentials for Autofill.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
