Need to recover the owner acct master pw
I recently changed my master pw (bc the extension barked at me, I think it was the old outdated one that was deprecated; so I instinctively just went to change my master pw) but when I updated the 1PW record it didn't actually update w/ the new master pw despite clicking 'update record'. When I updated the pw I downloaded the emergency kit, but didn't put in the new master pw [stupidly thought it was already included, so I just downloaded the kit]; I have the secret key but since the new pw was random [I also mistakenly thought the master pw was different than my unlock pw--which was something I could remember--so I inadvertently changed the master pw using the pw generator thinking my unlock pw would still work to access my vaults, and it's long random string I have no means to recover].
I have a family account, but it's the admin master pw that I need to recover. I tried to go through the recovery code process but you need to log in with the owner account to generate those codes, and obv that's my problem.
I have emailed about this problem multiple times but haven't gotten any response yet. I still have access to my vaults on the iOS app via FaceID, but since that will eventually expire I need to get this pw stuff sorted out prior to that, or all of my stuff will be completely inaccessible, which is obv a big, big problem.
Can support pls tell me how I can recover/change the master account pw via the secret key? Note: despite this being a family account, I'm actually still the only one that uses it bc I haven't added other users, so logging in with an attached acct to recover the master acct isn't viable (if this is even possible to begin with, w/e). The secret key is the only thing I have that proves I own the account.
I'd prefer that support just respond to my emails to help, but I'm here bc that hasn't happened and this is a major issue I need to get sorted ASAP.
