Upgrade to v4 and "copy" no longer works
I just upgraded to version 4 this evening and "copy" does not work... anywhere. Nothing gets copied to the clipboard if I click the "copy" button or if I use the drop down menu. "reveal" does work, but nothing makes it to the clipboard on copy.
This was not a problem with the previous version.
I don't have any clipboard extensions installed.
I also updated the OS this evening also.

I can confirm the same problem here. I have to reveal and copy the revealed password in order for it to work but this could be due to my other issue of the extension not recognising the app being present

It might be copying but not able to paste into certain applications. See the Misc section of the Known Issues post about this.
Try copying a password then switch to the Finder and choose the Edit>Show Clipboard menu. If your password is there then it copied properly. If not, there is something else happening.

I'm afraid I'm a ditto on this password-not-copying issue myself. OS 10.8.5. Copy and copy before fill do not work from the mini app. I can see my clipboard, and the new pwd is not there.

Did any of you try to paste the copy into TextEdit?
What's weird is how they are doing this new copy function. They are leaving out a huge amount of apps (Office, BBEdit).
I've resorted to allowing Alfred's clipboard to see data from 1Password and use that to paste into apps.

me too! I have to open the file in the 1p app to get into every site.

Yes, I tried to paste into a different application. Several of them. However, given that I can SEE that the pwd is not on my clipboard, I didn't really expect it to work. (I've been a programmer for 36 years.)
So... I just bought a password generator that does copy successfully to the clipboard, and am (inconveniently) using that instead. It's much faster than the only way Agile works now: copy the password with paper and pencil, and hope you don't make a mistake.
This is a non-trivial issue, since if you have 1pwd generate a pwd, and it's pasted into a form on the web (say XYZ.com) , you can neither see, nor copy, the new pwd. You have to HOPE that 1pwd will remember it. If it doesn't and something goes wrong, you have NO WAY to get into that XYZ.com web page, and will have to create an entirely new account.
Because of that, the failure is not merely "inconvenient" - it's a serious problem.

OK... I'd tried rebooting and etc, but I did get it to work, at least so far. Run the iPassword app; choose Help/troubleshooting/restart mini...

Hi everyone.
It looks like there may be a few different issues reported here. If anyone's still having trouble please describe the details, preferably with a specific example, and we'll help you get it resolved. Thanks!

There is a (very, very long) list with »known issues« in this forum. Look there and you find your problem listed.
(In fact the list shows that 1PW4 needs a lot of time to get ready for release.)

Hi, @Famulus.
Being communicative with our customers includes publicly posting a Known Issues list that's intended for everyone's benefit. :)>-

I've been using 1Password since version 1. I love it. The new version does not allow me to click the "Copy" button and paste the password into BBedit, it worked fine with version 3.9.x. I have to reveal, then highlight, then copy. I've using OSX 10.8.5 BBEdit 10.5.5. Thanks and look forward to the fix!

Hi, @thecornerweb. Wow, it sounds like you've been using 1Password since it was 1Passwd way back when! :)
If I'm correctly understanding your problem the good news is that a fix is in the works, currently in the 4.0.4 beta:
- Improving clipboard interoperability with Carbon apps including BBEdit. Big thanks to Rich Siegel for helping us to find the solution.
I hope that's helpful!
