Two 1Password Toolbar Buttons in Safari
Upgraded with no problem, rebooted, but still have two 1Password toolbar buttons in Safari. I drug the old one (though it's the same button) back to the "Customize Toolbar" screen, but even when I right-click on the toolbar and choose "Customize" there are two 1Password buttons available in both the Favorites and Default button set. (See screenshot at the following URL).

Also, every time I move between different pages here in this forum I am presented with the 1Password sign-in box. Clearly, even following the upgrade path from version 3 to 4, something is still alive with 1Password 3.

To further complicate things, in Dropbox I know have three .html files (1Password.html, 1Password.html (1) and 1Password.html (2).

Have you looked in Safari' preferences under extensions
maybe you have two extensions active !0 -
Duh...now why didn't I think about that! Of course, the 3.9 beta extension was still there. Uninstalled it and all is well. Thanks, Gilles9.
