1Password and EZproxy servers

I've recently moved to a new university as a staff member. Like many university libraries, they use an EZProxy server which allows members of the university to use the digital library resources off-site. The problem with 1Password and interfacing with EZProxy servers is that 1Password does not recognize that it already knows the login information for some of my visited sites.

For example, years ago I might have created login information for The Chronicle of Higher Education website using the URL http://chronicle.com. Now, to gain subscriber access to the site using my university privileges, I use the URL http://chronicle.com.proxy.lib.duke.edu. Of course to gain access to the discussion forums on Chronicle, I still need to login. Both URLs point to the same website, just that the latter one first goes through my university's campus network.

Is there a way for 1Password to recognise that from the user's perspective, http://chronicle.com and http://chronicle.com.proxy.lib.duke.edu are essentially the same? Is there a way to tell 1Password to ignore "proxy.library.duke.edu" so that it can use login information that was saved under URLs that did not go through the EZProxy server?
