Master password won't open 1pw 4 after working previously

Is there a way to delete everything to get to the new user state again and start over? Not much data to lose and can probably sync from iCloud.

Hi, @EnsPulver. I'm sorry it's taken longer than usual to reply.

If you'd still like to start over with 1Password 4 @roustem has posted instructions here:

    Complete Uninstall 1Password4 on Mac

But don't immediately launch 1P4 again. If your 1Password data from iCloud is currently being used by any iOS device(s) then first follow these steps from Migrate 1Password data from another computer or device:

Next, switch to the computer or mobile device that has your 1Password data. Open 1Password and tell it to sync with either Dropbox (Windows, iOS) or iCloud (iOS). Give it a few minutes to make sure the sync is complete.

Finally, return to your Mac and open 1Password 4. It should now recognise your data in Dropbox or iCloud and prompt you for your master password.

Also make sure iCloud is enabled on your Mac(s), as described under the Enable iCloud section of Sync with iCloud.

The intention there is for your 1Password data in iCloud to be up-to-date and available when you first launch 1P4 on your Mac(s) again.

Once that's ready, when you run 1P4 on your Mac(s) it should automatically locate your 1P iCloud data and display the "Welcome to 1Password 4!" screen (mentioning iCloud data) similar to the first image under Existing Users in Setting Up 1Password 4 for Mac. There's also a "… or click here to select a different option" choice on that screen you can use if 1P4 doesn't automatically pick the correct data file (in your case, iCloud).

With the correct data chosen, enter your Master Password and all should be well! Sync options can be viewed/disabled/changed under Preferences > Sync. The 1Password 4 sync guide has more information. Note that 1P4 for Mac only support one single service at a time.

Please let me know if you have any questions or issues with this. Thanks!
