iCloud syncing: Changes propagating but data differences.
Mac "A" has latest and correct data in 1Password. Changes I make in "A" are propagated to Mac "B" and vice versa, but the item count is different and some of the data on B is not the latest, as on A.
My four iOS devices are consistent with Mac "A".
Mac "A" has 627 and Mac "B"has 630 items. Some of the Credit Card items on B have earlier modified dates than A.
What I have done, twice:
On Mac"B":
- Turned off Mini
- Turned off syncing in 1Password
- Turned off "Documents and Data" in iCloud Pref pane
- Manually deleted the Mobile Documents folder in ~/Library (which is renamed with a suffix number after step 3).
- Uninstalled 1Password, including the containers, pref files
- Deleted all caches (deep cleaning with Mountain Lion cache cleaner)
- Rebooted
- Reinstalled 1Password from MAS
- Turned "Documents and Data" back on in iCloud Pref pane. The Mobile Documents folder was repopulated with freshly downloaded data including the 1Password container.
- Setup 1Password to sync with iCloud (the default situation, it found my iCloud data)
After all this, the item count on Mac "B" is still 630 items and it has the earlier credit card data.
Baffled, What have I missed??
Thanks

I have tested my situation booted from two OSX volumes on external drives. They both sync correctly with Mac "A" using iCloud.
So an executive summary of the problem is that four Macs and four iOS devices are syncing correctly using iCloud (changes propagate), but one of the Macs is stuck with some out of date items, which have persisted through complete removal and reload of all 1Password data on the machine.

I have "solved" this problem by replacing the MAS version with the 4.0.1b4 version. Mac "B" which persisted with the wrong item count and out of date credit card items is now inline with the other devices.

Hi @mikebore,
Sorry for missing this thread. I'm glad to hear the website version is working better. We've submitted 1Password 4.0.5 update to the Mac App Store a few days ago and are waiting for Apple to approve it. I'd suggest you try using that 4.0.5 update again if you want but be careful with how you switch from the website to the Mac App Store. First, disable the Always keep 1Password mini running in the website version of 1Password's General Preferences:
Now, quit 1Password and its mini by going to the 1Password Menu, and hold the Control key on your keyboard to select Quit 1Password and 1Password mini. After that, you can install the MAS version of 1Password, let it pick up from iCloud and see if it'll stay in sync with the rest of your setups.
Just to be clear, how did you reset the 1Password folders in Containers, did you simply trashed them? Are you on Mavericks?

Thanks for response. The answers are Yes and Yes.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since I posted, and all has been well since. I have actually reverted to the MAS version 4.0.3 (because I want to use iCloud and only the MAS version supports iCloud, right?) and all is still well.
