Upgraded, everything broke
Ugh, I upgraded to 1Password 4 from the Mac Store, because it was free and I didn't know that it was buggy.
Now I have several days of password updates in my Chrome extension that I can't get out and, even worse, 1Password for Windows no longer syncs with 1Password for Mac.
I have it set up to sync to the default Dropbox folder. Is it supposed to be able to sync between Windows and Mac using the current versions? If I create a new login in Windows, it clearly gets saved to Dropbox, but it never shows up on the Mac side.
Any suggestions? Is there any easy way to downgrade the Mac store version? Thanks,
- Andrew

It seems Agilebits are offering to transfer licenses from the MAS version of 1PW4 to the website version which is much less buggy.

Phew. I successfully downgraded back to version 3, now everything seems to work. My logins are back from the Chrome extension, and it is once again syncing with my Windows PCs.
AgileBits should REALLY warn people that this release is broken! This is a big deal if it's something that you rely on every day.
I don't know why they are pushing this release via e-mail when it plainly does not work.

I downloaded v4 from agile bits, but I'm also having problems. Wonder if I can get a refund.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having.
Now I have several days of password updates in my Chrome extension that I can't get out and, even worse, 1Password for Windows no longer syncs with 1Password for Mac. 1Password 4 for Mac and 1Password for Windows do sync as long as you configure 1Password 4 for Mac to sync via Dropbox, which creates an older compatible format with 1Password for Windows. Once 1Password 4 for Windows and others are released, we'll phase out the older format and put in the newer opvault format that we're using for iCloud.
If I create a new login in Windows, it clearly gets saved to Dropbox, but it never shows up on the Mac side.
That's because of a bug that we didn't foresee in the Mac App Store, the sandboxing rules we had didn't work well for the Dropbox sync. We're working on resolving the issues as fast as we can. The 4.0.3 update at the Mac App Store will fix the sync but there's another sandboxing issue where it cannot refresh the listing properly when it receive new changes from Dropbox. This will be fixed in 4.0.4 that we're working hard to submit as soon as possible.
None of this is affected in the website version since sandboxing is not used there at the moment.

It does work fine for majority of our customers, just not some and we're working to resolve those issues as soon as possible.

I see that you've downgraded to 1Password 3 already. We're working on a licensing tool to convert your Mac App Store purchases into the website license if you'd like to use 1Password 4. However, 1Password 4 extensions are not compatible with 1Password for Windows, you'd have to disable the Chrome's extension sync, so that you can use 1Password 3 extensions on Windows. Google doesn't allow selective sync, so it is not possible to keep both extensions in sync while disabling 1Password 3 on Windows.

We do have a 30-day money back promise, so yes, you can get a refund. However, we'd like to help you fix the problems if you'd let us do so. Can you create a separate thread here and let us know what kind of issues you're having?
Thanks!
