On IOS, Master Password "Request After" == Never option is missing

After reading http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/iOS/Settings/ios-auto-locks.html and http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/iOS/Features/Settings/ios-settings-security.html, it implies that you can configure the IOS app to never request a master password, as long as the app stays running.

However, the "Change Master Password -> Request After" option does not have a "Never" choice. It only has times from 1-30 minutes.

I am using version 4.3, and synced my passwords by dragging the .agilekeychain file to the app in itunes.

Is the documentation incorrect, or is there a bug?

    I noticed the change myself.

I have seen no mention of it being changed or it being a bug.

Due to the work load it may take a couple days or so for us to get a reply. So hang in there.

I set my request after for 15 minutes and the app behaves as though it is 1 second.

    Hi @markstemm and @timquigs,

The "never" setting for the Master Password was limited by iOS. While we truly never auto-lock the system, we are forced into a locked state when the app's process is terminated by iOS or by the customer. For example, if you close the app, and then fire up a game with heavy graphics, iOS is going to need to reclaim resources. It will kill our process in the background to reclaim the memory we were using. Also, if a customer forces the app's process closed by removing it from Multitasking, we are forced into a locked state.

Honestly, the same could happen if it was set to Auto-Lock in 10 minutes, but the app was closed and then you went and closed it from Multitasking. Auto-Lock delay just cannot be maintained if part of the app does not continue in the background.

This is why the "Never" setting was initially removed - it's hard to say "never" when we can't fully control it. We are looking into making that clearer in a future update. (In the meantime, we'll update our documents to make it less confusing there!)

Ok. So with this "little" change you are turning my life (and probably few others) into a nightmare :(
In my usual use case , I'm just using 3-4 apps during a day : 1Password (most of the time), Safari, Rss reeder and openvpn. Thank's to the "Never" feature, I was able to input my 33 letters password once per 2-3 days. 1Password was usually not terminated by iOS, because my 4 apps didn't need a lot of resources. So I was able quickly switch to 1P (about 30-50 times a day) to acquire stuff that I need to work.
So this feature is a must have for me. PLEASE put it back into the app (maybe with some additional explanation about multitasking and reclaiming resources). I'm close to quit of using 1Password, because I can't afford to loose time for my master password almost EVERY time I switch into the app :(

    Hi @papiex,

I do apologize for the inconvenience here. We certainly didn't want to make your life nightmarish! I'll be sure to tell our developers that you are anxious to see this feature return.

I would certainly vote for adding the option back, even with the caveat that Never doesn't truly mean Never.
