Can't launch v 4 after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.5

My upgrade to the Lion OS two years ago was so painful, I have been holding off on upgrading to Mountain Lion. When I learned I couldn't upgrade to 1Password 4 without it, I decided to bite the bullet. I'm happy I did. Loving the new OS, with one exception ... I can't launch 1Password 4. Prior to updating my OS, when I tried to launch 1Password 4, I received an error message advising me that I needed the newer OS. Now, since the OS upgrade, NOTHING happens. The app doesn't launch and I don't even receive an error message. I can still run version 3, but not 4. I upgraded the app from the Agile Bits website, not the Apple Store. HELP!

Sorry this probably won't help: it's pretty basic stuff! Did you try re-downloading and re-installing after the OS upgrade?

  • Hi @teriross,

Did you follow Stephen_C's suggestion of rebooting? By the way, Mavericks is a great improvement over Mountain Lion and it's free update as well.

Try downloading a new copy of 1Password from our website: http://agilebits.com/downloads and see if that copy will run. It could be a corrupted download with your first copy.

Thanks Stephen. I didn't see this response until today. I followed your suggestion and it worked. Thanks!
