Can I delete these folders?
Like many I had 1Password 3.9 installed and ran the beta of version 4 before installing the final App Store version. A couple minutes ago I discovered two sets of 1Password folders in the user library application support folder. One looked to be related to 1Password 3 so I just deleted it.
The other called 1Password 4 then contains three other folders; namely 3rd party integration, Backups and Data. When I look inside the Backups folder I can see over 30 backups but even the most recent one dates back to the 2nd of October and this is not the same location used now by 1Password 4 to backup data. Can I just delete that main 1Password 4 folder within application support or are there files I need to maintain? Everything is working fine but it just looks a bit messy and I wondered if it might cause problems further down the road.
Thanks
Ashley

You might try renaming the relevant folder by adding something like "_old" and then see if everything still works! Another possibility is to check the last access date for files in the folder to see if it's currently being used. You may also in any event wish to save the backups for a while.

The last date the main folder was modified was on the 2nd of October so it looks like everything is related to the beta version of 1Password 4 that was downloaded from Agile rather than the App Store. It's almost 2 gigs in total so I wondered if it's just sat there taking up space at this point for no good reason.
It would actually be useful if Agile supplied a tool for uninstalling unnecessary elements following upgrades. Hopefully somebody from Agile will pitch in and tell us what we can safely delete.

I have a similar issue. Somehow I missed deleting the Contents folder of 1Password 3. I'm pretty sure they are all obsolete, as they are all dated April 24, but wanted to check before proceeding. 1Password 4 is working fine, so I don't think they are related.

Hi guys,

Those are likely the backups of your 1Password data. If everything looks good in 1Password 4 and it is creating backups, you can archive or delete the whole 1Password 4 folder in Application Support.
I'd strongly recommend archiving/moving it to a backups drive just in case.

Like above, I'd recommend archiving the folder rather than deleting it.
