The extension shows in some Safari windows, not others. Is there any way to control that?

Thanks, John Shanks

    Hi John ( @jlshanks )

Please check in Safari > Preferences > Extensions and make sure that the 1Password 4 extension is installed.

If it is installed, please set Safari to view at fullscreen and see if the icon is visible then. Depending on how many extensions you have installed, and the width of your viewing window, some extensions might show in a drop-down menu to the right of the menu bar.

Please let me know if you are still not having any luck tracking down the 1Password icon. :)

(Also, I've removed your other post, which seems to be a duplicate of this one. Cheers!)

  • Hi @jlshanks,

We don't control where 1Password icon shows up and don't show up. We ask Safari to add 1Password icon to its toolbar and that's all we can do.

Am I correct to assume we're talking about popup windows where it won't show the toolbar? If yes, you can still activate 1Password to fill in via the keyboard shortcut instead (Command + \) or right-click on the site to select 1Password. To just open the 1Password mini, not filling, you can use Command + Option + \.
