Running a MacMini with 10.8.5 installed (purchased 1 Password through the AppStore)

I updated 1Password from 3 to 4 on my laptop without problems. I synced my passwords to iCloud.

With the MacMini, I updated 1Password to 4, but when i tried to open it, I got an error message which told me I should reinstall. So i deleted the application and reinstalled through the AppStore.

When I opened 1Password4, it automatically found my Dropbox file, but I got an error message saying "failed to unlock cannot locate keychain".

So now, I am trying to sync to iCloud, the box says "1Password found existing data in iCloud. It will be merged with your current vault." But nothing is happening, I have a little spinner that says things are going on, but after an hour i gave up.

So I completely uninstalled 1Password, deleted the appropriate files/folders from ~Library/Containers and preferences, and started again.

I installed 1Password, got the warm welcome message, and I have the screen where it is asking me to enter my master password. But that's it. I type, nothing happens. The little lock icon does nothing, no error message. If I try and double click on the Dropbox file, same thing happens, it asks but doesn't do anything.
