Installed Mavericks this morning.

1) I am sure 1Password for Chrome did work earlier, but I restarted my computer and now when I click the 1Password icon in Chrome the pop up does not work, so I cannot login to sites automatically

2) The main App keeps popping up telling me there an updated has been downloaded and do I want to install it. I click to Install and Restart, but nothing happens. it does not update because I keep getting the message everytime I start the app.

Thanks

  • Hi @amityweb,

We're getting some weird issues reported about this but not everybody got affected.

The issue you bought up in #2 is probably why #1 doesn't work, if the app file is damaged, the mini won't work either since it is contained in the app file.

    Try this:

    1. Open Terminal.app from your Applications > Utilities, and enter this command:
      launchctl stop 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword4-helper
    2. Download 1Password 4.0.2 update here:
      http://i.agilebits.com/dist/1P/mac4/1Password-4.0.2.zip
    3. Extract the zip file if OS X didn't do it for you, and then drag the extracted 1Password 4.app file into your Applications folder, overwriting your previous copy.
    4. Now, open 1Password 4 and see if it will work better now.

Ok I have done that so lets wait and see. Chrome app is actually working again today anyway. I have several other (non-1Password related) issues with the Mavericks upgrade.

Thanks for the followup, @amityweb. I'm glad you've got 1P4 working with Chrome and hope your other issues with Mavericks are soon resolved!
