MounTain Lion-iOs 6 sync problem with custom fields

Hi,

In a password type item, I've made several custom fields to store network password.
All is fine in 1P for Mac but won't synchronise with the iPads or iPhones under iOs 6.

Is it a known issue?

Thanks.

  • Hi @parpayoun,

Can you give me details about the 1Password app on your iOS devices, is it 1Password 3 for iOS or 1Password 4 for iOS? If 1Password 4 for iOS, which sync method are you using?

Here's how to tell which version of 1Password you have on iOS:

    Hi Mike,

It's 1P 4 latest version on both plateforms. Sync with iCloud.

    Thanks.

Hi, @parpayoun. Thanks for the followup.

Is it only custom fields added to Password items on your Mac that aren't syncing with iCloud to your iOS 6 devices? In other words, are the Password items syncing but missing the custom fields? Or is it a more general problem with iCloud syncing? Have you tried restarting your iOS devices? Also, which versions of OS X and 1P4 are you running on your Mac?

    Mac Os X 10.8.5 (Build 12F45)

    1P4 Mac 4.0

    1P4 iOs 4.3.1

The bug: Custom fields created in Mac version are not presents in iOs version. See following pictures.

    On Mac:

    On iOS:

Hi, @parpayoun. Thanks for the the additional information and images.

I've confirmed that custom fields in Password items aren't currently supported with 1P4 on iOS. I'll report this to our developers. The fields are there, just invisible on iOS. They'll be preserved if you edit items in 1P4 iOS with them that are later synced back with 1P4 on your Mac.

The Password item in your image shows a Time Capsule section. Instead of putting information there maybe you could create a separate Wireless Router item with it?

Of course I can. An I did. This one is for quickly retrieving informations on all my connected devices like routers, phones & tv…
For now, this Password item is duplicated as a Login item. So I can view it on my iOs devices.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the followup, @parpayoun.

We're still considering how the Password category might be changed in the future, which could include adding custom field/section support in 1P4 iOS. But there's been confusion with having generated password items automatically stored there mixed with items used for other purposes so a new separate category for storing those latter items may be added.

    Ok sjk.

I'm sure AgileBits will do it for the best. ;)
