MAS version, Dropbox Sync, missing login details that iOS devices share

I appear to be having a weird problem where my value is stored in Dropbox. Both iPhone and iPad sync with it perfect.
My MAS version of 1P4 on Mac Mini and Macbook AIR are missing login details for MANY of my items.

They appear in the mac apps but all details missing. The iOS apps are still fully populated.

Ideas?

    Hi, @cweinman.

    I'm sorry you're having trouble with missing login details. It sounds similar to this:

    My Account > Login items are not showing up in 1Password mini

    If that's not the problem maybe you can describe a specific example or post an image of which details are missing where so we can help get them to show up correctly? Thanks!

    Great follow-up but that is not the problem. The lack of the login details being populated exists in the vault itself. See attached screen prints from a sample login example.

    NOTE:
    -The iOS vault shows a saved username/pass and is syncing successfully with Dropbox.

    • the screenshot from the MAS vault doesn't even have the details, also successfully syncing with Dropbox.

    @cweinman

    I saw this the other day myself the wife shared something while I was traveling. But mine was in reverse the Mac app showed all the details and the iOS app had no user name password or URL. I only had one item named as such so it was not an accidental sharing of the wrong thing.

    @sjk

    She (wife) ended up not my choice here,... but sharing it via the messages option allowing me to add it on my end that worked wonderfully.

    I am just wondering if I delete the MAS version... remove wherever it locally stores the vault (not sure where) and then restart and have it pull in the Dropbox, maybe it will work? But right now I can't see how syncing is actually working.

    I am going to try the following: http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/start-over.html

    with one of my two Mac MAS versions.

    UPDATE: didn't matter. Because it is still opening the original vault and claims to be syncing. Didn't solve anything. I think it may be useful to delete all 1Pass related files.. completely clean. I was part of the BETA, have the MAS version, older versions, etc. But will wait for Agile's recommendations

    So bizarre... I opened my vault in the updated Windows 1Password version and many of the my logins are missing (like the one shown above that isn't completed). How could that be? Are they possibly a different format only being picked up by the iOS versions?

    Hi, @cweinman. Thanks for the additional information and images.

    Here are instructions for removing 1P4 beta:

    Hello, beta family!

    If that doesn't help resolve your problem could you please email us a Diagnostics Report (preferably from each Mac) so we can sort this out? Instructions are here:

    Sending us your Diagnostics Report to help us help you!

    Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forum, but please do include a link to this topic in your email so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox. After analyzing the report(s) we'll be able to better assist you resolve this. Thank you!

    I have emailed both Mac diagnostic logs and the iOS log.

    Basically I am worried my syncing is completely hosed.

    • I have 2 macs which are completely similar
    • I have an iPhone/ipad that are similar to each other but different form the macs (and have the correct looking vault)
    • I have a Windows software version that appears to be missing a lot.

    All are syncing to a vault stored in the root directory of Dropbox.

    I now leave this to you Jedi support... I am confused.

    Thanks for sending those reports, @cweinman. We've received all three. If it's convenient, could you also send us one from your 1P Windows system? Instructions are here:

    Help us by sending a diagnostic report

    If one of your systems has current, up-to-date 1Password data you might want to temporarily disable syncing on it and create a backup. We'll be following up with you more in email as soon as possible.

    Completed per your request. Believe my iPAD is the best vault. Have disabled syncing and made backups of that and with my macbook air vault as well.

    Have backed up the vault in DropBox within Dropbox as well.
