How to Sync my "Senior" White MacBook in v4
I use my iPad 3Gen as a "sync hub" to wi-fi sync between my MacBook (early 2008) and my Mac mini (late 2012). Both OS X machines run 1P v3.8.21 and the iPad has 1P Pro v3.7.2. While not elegant, this works well enough to let me avoid Dropbox.
Now that wi-fi sync is available in v4, I really want to upgrade, but my MacBook can't run Mountain Lion and so can't run v4.
Is it possible to wi-fi sync in 1P v4.x between my Mac mini and my iPad and perhaps use a USB drive to sync between the mini with 1P v4 and the MacBook running 1P v3?
Dropbox remains off the table for me.
Thanks for any ideas.

Hi Terry,
In 1Password 4, we have a sync method called Folder Sync, where it reads and writes to your preferred folder on the drive.
You can set that folder on a USB drive or if you have a network share, you can use that as well. That way, you can sync between 1Password 3 and 1Password 4.If you use your own local sync tool, like rsync, Chronosync or anything that can do local network sync, you can put the folder on the drive and use the tool to sync that folder between Macs.
So, in your situation, it is possible. I'd recommend backing up everything, and then download the trial version of 1Password from our website here and you can experiment with this when you have time.
