Safari not accepting 1 Password Extensions

I upgraded to Mavericks and 1 Password 4 and Safari gives me an error to remove the 1PW3 extension. When I go to preferences, it doesn't show the extension and when I try to add the 1PW4 extension it won't download.

    1) Confirm that Safari does not show either the 1PW3 or 4 Extension in Preferences > Extensions.
    2) Shut down Safari and manually go to the Safari extensions folder in Finder by pressing Shift+Command+G and paste this in

    ~/Library/Safari/Extensions/

make sure you include the '~' which means user home folder.

    3) If you see a 1Password extension file there then delete it. You may need to provide password.
    4) Reboot just to be through
    5) Restart Safari and see if you can install 1Password 4 extension by 1Password 4 > Preferences > Browser > Install Browser Extensions

Also you have latest version of Safari installed? Version 7.0 (9537.71)

    Hi, @Nitwit.

If you've tried @FromOZ's steps did they resolve your problem? Do you remember the error you saw when you tried removing the 1P3 extension for Safari?

Let us know if you're still stuck getting rid of the 1P3 extension and/or installing the 1P4 extension so we can help you get this working properly. Thanks!
