Safari Extension Installation Fiasco?

Anyone else have problems with installing the Safari extension?

After getting V4 installed (I had deleted the old plugin before downloading) I clicked the big green button. The extension down loaded and when I double clicked it a new Safari tab opened. It hesitated a bit and then came back with the error and also the option to try again and also some suggestions to try. I followed the three suggestions. No luck. 1Pass extension would not indicate it was properly installed. So I closedSafari and relaunched. Interestingly, when I checked the extensions list there was the new extension. And it worked. Just for fun I deleted it and tried the entire process again. I got the same exact result. The extension installer in the browser tab reported it wasn't installed, yet there it was. After a third try at this I left it alone. The extension is working OK, even though the installer would not indicate it was properly installed.

Judging from the posts on this forum and the "were really busy answering email after the exciting rollout of 1Password 4! so it will be a few days until we respond" automatic reply message I am guessing V4 isn't quite ready for prime time. But then again, I am having problems with other applications after I foolishly installed Mavericks, so Agilebits isn't alone here.

BTW, the Chrome extension worked right the first time. Hurray for Google.

Hi - I just bought 1password today and was able to install the extensions on Chrome and Firefox. However, I am unable to install on Safari. The extension downloads. I go to the downloads folder to install. I get the message asking if I want to install. I then click install and then... nada...
Safari stops responding and then crashes!

I open Safari again to see if the extension installed and it's not there. So I then go to Users-myusername-Library-Safari-Extensions and I see the Safari Extension listed there. So I decide to double click the extension within the folder and I am asked again if I want to install... so I click install. Then for a split second the 1password icon appears in my extensions list and then POOF... Safari crashes. I reopen Safari and the extension is gone again.

What's a person like me gotta do to get this installed on Safari?

So I managed to install it. I had Glims installed on my browser and I guess it was interfering with the installation. So I downloaded an uninstaller from the Glims site and was then able to install the 1Password extension.

    Hi there,

@RickCunn: Were you able to resolve your problem with installing the 1P4 extension for Safari, maybe caused by Glims interfering with it like Jessica mentioned?

Jessica: All's well for you now with 1Password 4 and its Safari extension?
