App store re-download unavailable?
I wanted to install 1password on my desktop computer as well as my laptop (it is now on my laptop). When I go to the app store, it shows my purchase in iTunes, but it doesn't appear in my purchases list in the app store. Is the 1password license only for a single computer?

Okay, but my 1Password is not showing in the App Store purchase page. Is this an Apple issue?

In the iTunes store 1Password shows up as downloaded, but this is greyed out, not enabling me to re-download.

My bad. Actually, what is showing up is the iPad version that I purchased in addition to the mac version..

Maybe this applies to my case. The Apple Store shows I have paid for full pro version of 1Password but 1Password limits me to 20 account logins. Is this the limit?

@murfturf, there is no limit (that I know of) to the number of login items you can have in a licensed version of 1P4, so I think you have a problem! You'll need to provide more details, such as whether you've had any other version of 1P on your machine (like the beta, for example). I'm assuming you're referring to 1P4 in any event.

Hi @murfturf,
It sounds to me like you have purchased 1Password 3 (Pro) for iOS.
1Password for Mac is a separate purchase. It sounds to me as if you may have downloaded a trial version of 1Password for Mac from our website. The trial version of 1Password will give you 30 days of full-featured access, and after that time if you decide not to purchase, you will be restricted to 20 items. Could you tell me what version of 1Password you currently have installed on both your computer and your iOS device?

This may be related... I purchased and downloaded 1Password (version 4.1.2) from the Mac App Store and it's running on my iMac (running Mavericks). I also purchased the IOS version from the iTunes store and was able to download that to both my iPad and iPhone. I have one other Mac, but it's a first generation MacBook Air, and can't be upgraded to Mavericks (stuck on Snow Leopard, 10.6). When I go to the Mac App Store on that machine, I can find 1Password, but it seems to think I have not purchased it yet. Instead of saying "installed", it says "$49.99" or whatever.
This may be a question for the Apple Support forums, but are there two different versions of the App Store for OS X? Or, depending on the version of the client, does the content change? Any thoughts how I can get 1password on my MBA without buying it a third time? (Which I would do if I had to, love the program!!) -pete

Hi, @sk8rboi.
1Password 3.8.21, compatible with your Snow Leopard MBA, can be downloaded from our Legacy Versions of 1Password page and run unlimited without a license for 30 days. From AgileBits Software Licenses (slightly edited):
The application downloaded from our website will remain fully functional for the first 30 days after you install it. After this initial trial period, you will need to purchase a license to continue using without restrictions.
You can e-mail us directly to request a free 1Password 3 for Mac license, preferably including your 1Password MAS purchase receipt information. After receiving your license simply add it to 1P3, without downloading and installing the software again, and all of your 1Password data is retained.
1Password 3 is no longer available from the Mac App Store, no matter which version of OS X you run App Store on. App Store on my 10.8.5 system displays Update status for at least Apple's apps that require 10.9, e.g. iPhoto, and prices for Apple/non-Apple apps requiring it. I'm not sure why 1Password is showing a $49.99 price instead of Update in App Store on your MBA if you're logged in with same Apple ID are you purchased it with for your iMac (running 10.9).
We appreciate your love for 1Password and certainly won't ask you to unnecessarily buy it again. :)

Thanks @sjk. Great and helpful info. Turns out I wasn't logged in to the App Store on the MBA! Guess I assumed it would do that automatically. This machine was originally my wife's and I'm logging on as a second user. It's plausible I never actually logged in to itunes or the App Store before. We use it now just for couch surfing.
Anyway, once I did the store showed "download" as expected. Of course I tried, but I got the message about version incompatibility. This is fodder for an Apple discussion board but it sure is amazing that a machine we bought only six years (!) ago is basically obsolete. I suppose that's like two generations in computer years.
Thanks again for the detailed info above. Sounds like a great option for our little old MBA.

Thanks for the followup, Pete ( @sk8rboi ),
Glad to hear the App Store login on your MBA revealed your 1Password purchase even though it can't be installed there. The only thing that seems kind of obsolete with my 2011 MBA are its USB 2 ports. :)
If you'd like to use the 1P3 Safari extension make sure you're running Safari 5.1.10; it won't work with 5.0.10.
Are you a hockey player?
