Non-synchronised Syncing

I have Password 4 installed on my Mac and on my phone & iPad (the mac version was purchased via the web site and not via the App store)
After syncing and syncing I am always 5 items short on my phone (& iPad) compared to my Mac...
this is a wee bit frustrating - any suggestions?

    I would like to apologize for the delay in responding but we have been a bit overwhelmed since the launch of 1Password 4 for Mac. We're working hard to get back to our usual snappy responses and we really appreciate your patience.

    I'm sorry to hear that syncing seems to be misbehaving for you at the moment, I completely understand your frustration. Are you currently syncing via Dropbox or iCloud?

    I'd also like to ask you to do me a favour: could you edit one of the items (add extra notes to an entry or something) and see if that changes anything.
