Syncing with Android Phone

Hi,

When syncing 1Password with dropbox on my Android Phone it shows No updates found. Although there are several new keys which should be synced.

How can I fix this?

    Furthermore I am disappointed about the Android 1Password app.
    It is too basic and outdated. LastPass does a better job.

    I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to you here but we have been a bit overwhelmed since the launch of 1Password 4 for Mac. We're all working hard and putting in extra hours to get back to our usual snappy responses and we really appreciate your patience.

    Believe me, we all know that the Android App could use a bit of an update, and our developers are working hard on making it so.

    In the meantime, the easiest way to get things kickstarted is to reinstall the Android Reader.

    Please let me know if this gets things properly updated! :)

    Sorry but re-installing the app has no effect.
    Furthermore 1Password extension for chrome stopped working.

    Hi @jawes,

    I'm sorry to hear that you're still having difficulties here.

    Sometimes the 1Password Reader can get abnormally attached to dated Dropbox data, let's try a reinstall again ... with a few extra steps to ensure that the Reader is getting the newest data from Dropbox. To do a full and clean reinstall of the 1Password Reader on your Android device, please try this:

    • Go to Settings > Storage > Apps
    • Find 1Password Reader
    • Select Clear Cache and Clear Data
    • Then uninstall
    • Reinstall the 1Password Reader from the Google Play Store

    Please note the location of the 1Password Reader might differ slightly depending on your device

    As far as the Chrome extension goes, this is a known issue that our developers are working on fixing! Please re-start your computer and things should behave a bit more nicely for you. :)

    Hi Megan -

    I am having the same issue, tried your suggestions and still not working.
    I use 1Password 4 on two Macs and the reader on my Android 4.4 device.
    The reader seems to find my dropbox file and syncs, yet does not find updates.

    What's next? - thanks

    I found the culprit... I needed to manually connect 1Password 4 on my Mac to my Dropbox key location in preferences/sync. Now it works fine.
