Feature Request: Copy from password generator field

Hey dear support team, dear community,

what is the reason behind preventing the default behavior of the input field of the 1Password Mini password generator? Why on earth would someone want to click the tiny arrow an then click copy? I mean it is ok that there is a copy button for people who love their mouse more than anything else, but don't block the first thing that 90% (I guess?) people do when seeing a filled input field: clicking into it to use ctrl/cmd + c.

Tiny change for you, big change for usability (who had the idea to block click/copy+paste anyway?).

Regards,
Alexander

This has been brought up in at least one other thread, but I wholeheartedly agree with you and hope the problem will be fixed.

Clicking on the default Fill button should work for you. It's actually Fill & Copy as you can see in the drop down, and at least in my case, it still copies to the clipboard even if there isn't a field to be filled on the web page. Have you given that a try?

@oshloel Yep, works. It is still far from smart to prevent the default behavior of interface elements in such a drastic manner. Should get fixed.

    Hi @madeyourday, @DavidB, and @oshloel,

Thanks for providing your feedback here! Our developers are still working on fine-tuning some of the details of 1Password Mini, and the copy on fill feature is something that we have heard a lot from our users about, and I'll be sure to pass along your thoughts as well. :)
