More on Vaults usage
Vaults are nice, they allow to clearly separate the various IDs, accounts, logins etc .. related to various topics. At least that's how I understand them.
I have now three vaults. It works well. The only thing I find annoying is the fact that when "Vault A" is your current vault and you need to access a password in "Vault B" via command\, the password in "Vault B" cannot be find. You have to change the current Vault to "Vault B" to find it...
That's ok, but when you do that several times per day that's really annoying. May be I am misusing vaults ...

Hey @couet,

First of all, just some general ideas of how one might use multiple/shared vaults. An example from the 1Password page on the AgileBits website:
It also suggests these uses:
- Business logins with your co-workers
- Personal information with your spouse
- Encryption keys with your dev team
- Estate planning with your loved one
Those are just a few suggestions. I don't think you could be misusing vaults, you can do whatever works best for you!
You have to change the current Vault to "Vault B" to find it... That's ok, but when you do that several times per day that's really annoying.
Unfortunately there's no way around that currently. Though if you look through some other discussions on this forum, AgileBits is looking into several improvements to make using multiple vaults simpler and quicker:
- Feature Request for Multiple Vaults
- Feature Enahancement: Shortcut Key to switch vaults
- [Request] Switching Vaults in Mini Does not close Mini [Yep, under investigation]
- Using Multiple Vaults
So hopefully with a few changes in the future, multiple vaults will be working better for you!
Hope that helps! :D
