Master password not unlocking version 4.0.8 on a Macbook Pro laptop

I just sent an email to 1Password but doesn't look like I'll get an answer soon and I need help now.

I just formatted my computer (which I tend to do a lot). I have never had this issue with 1Password before. I copied 1Password to my computer and clicked on it. I pointed to the 1Password.agilekeychain file. I entered the master password like I always have in the past. It shakes (meaning wrong password I assume). I am entering the correct password. Just to confirm that I was, I went to 1Password on my iPhone, entered the same password and it opens fine. Next I copied the 1Password.agilekeychain file from my iPhone to my computer and clicked on 1Password, pointed to the file I copied from my phone, entered the same password I entered on my phone and still shakes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: I copied the file from my computer (that 1Password won't unlock) to my iPhone and it unlocks fine on my iPhone. I also tried deleting 1Password from my computer and downloading a 'fresh' copy from App Store, but same issue, won't unlock file.

I'm having the same problem. I had the beta 1P4 and it stopped filling in my login info. So, I purchased the program at the app store, and now my password will not open the app. I deleted the beta version, then reinstalled from the app store. Still won't open with my master password.

    Hi Jace,

I am so sorry for the delay in responding to your email but we have been a bit overwhelmed since the launch of 1Password 4 for Mac. We're all working hard and putting in extra hours to get back to our usual snappy responses and we really appreciate your patience.

Updating your system should have had no effect on your Master Password, but let's see if we can't sort this out! You didn;t mention whether you had tried rebooting your Mac or not. Please try re-booting your Mac to reset the 1Password Mini.

If your Master Password still doesn't workafter a reboot, could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?

Download the 1Password Troubleshooting utility and follow the instructions to generate the report.

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
