Found a solution to import into version 4 from other other programs or data sources

Apparently, 1Password 3 works better than the current version. I lost about a couple of hours of my life trying to get 1P4 to import CSV data from PWSafe. Unbelievable that a production piece of software has problems with CR LF, etc. But anyway, Since 1P3 did not uninstall from my MAC (and I am unable to do that anyway-but that is for another forum), I was able to use that to import the txt files that pwsafe exports.

So:
Export pwsafe files to txt format
Create a blank database in 1P3
Import the txt files into it
Export the data into the 1Password pif format
Have 1P4 import the pif file

I was even able to import my multiple pwsafe files into various folders.

To Agilebits: It should not take hours of effort or all sorts of hoops to get data to import properly.

How did you import into 1P4? My import button is greyed-out. I'm not a techie by any stretch, but this new 1P4 is messed up from a users point of view. It may be perfectly clear to code writers, but to borderline literate Mac users, it's weird. I can't get dropbox to work, or this import thing.

I don't have an import button. I clicked file, then import. Is that what you mean? I had issues with Dropbox too. I had to backup all my 1P data and then delete the files in Dropbox. None of this hold be needed if this software was ready for primetime.
