Dropbox: Cannot sync to folder with spaces in its name
I have linked my personal Dropbox and work Dropbox accounts and it has created the appropriately named directories ~/Dropbox (Personal) and ~/Dropbox (Work) with a symlink at ~/Dropbox to my personal Dropbox.
When I try to setup 1Password4 to sync to ~/Dropbox (Personal), it fails and the UI doesn't alert me.
A workaround, albeit a user-unfriendly one, is to do the following:
1) Pause Dropbox syncing
2) Remove the ~/Dropbox symlink
3) Rename Dropbox (Personal) to Dropbox
4) Add a symlink at "~/Dropbox (Personal)" pointing to ~/Dropbox
5) Resume Dropbox syncing
6) Choose the new ~/Dropbox folder for 1Password4 Dropbox syncing
I'd rather not have to do this on every machine I use. If 1Password could support spaces in Dropbox folder names other users with linked Dropbox accounts could be saved so much headache and confusion.

Am seeing the exact same behavior, but didn't come up with the same workaround. I just started using folder sync which is working just fine between my Mac and my iOS client (for now). If this isn't a bad thing to be doing, it seems cleaner than messing with dropbox symlinks. What do the folks at AgileBits think?

Hi @Ankit and W Gregg Stefancik,
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I apologize for the inconvenience here. Our developers are currently tracking a bug where folders with spaces cause trouble with sync. For the time being, your best solution is to use folder names without spaces, but we will certainly do our best to have a proper solution available soon!
