Autofill works on MacBook but not on iMac

I am running mountain lion 10.8.5 on my mac, and Mavericks on my MacBook. The auto fill works when I launch sites from the MacBook, but not on the mac. Is there something I can do on the mac to fix this?

    HI @hansbraul,

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with autofill. It's strange that it seems to be restricted to your older operating system. Are you seeing this on all websites, or are there just one or two acting up? If there are specific sites misbehaving, I'd really appreciate it if you could send along the web addresses so we can do some testing on our end.

    I'd also like to know if you see any improved behaviour after disabling 'Animate form filling' in Preferences > Browsers. :)
