1Password mini appears but freezes

1Password 4.1 for Mac on Mavericks. When I click on the 1Password mini icon in the menubar or the extension of my browser, the login window appears but it freezes. I am unable to enter the password or close the window. When I click somewhere else on a different application, the window closes. Is there a possible solution?

    Hi @macular,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with the 1Password Mini. Please try using Command - Control - Q to quit both the main application and the mini. Does the Mini behave better when you re-open 1Password?

    Hi, @macular.

I'm sorry @Megan's suggestion didn't resolve this problem. Have you tried restarting your system since it started? Are you able to run and unlock the main 1P4 app? And if that works okay can you use 1P mini after that?

Hello i can also confirm, i have the exact same problem ive tried everything i can think of including:

    Rebooting
    Pram reset
    Repaired permissions
Cloned to another hard drive and booted from that
    Completely removed 1password and reinstalled

Nothing appears to work, can you please offer some guidance.

    Regards

    Hi, Paul.

    Hey

Thanks for the reply, actually no the main 1p4 does unlock fine, but the mini does not respond for quite a while still, even calling it from the browser appears to freeze the browser until 1p4 mini starts to respond again.

I need the password generator for work a few times a day, really need this resolved as i have to go to password generator sites otherwise.

How do i send you diagnostic data? My mac is a A1286 macbook pro.

I did have this installed on a 2012 retina, without issues.

    Thanks

    Paul

Thanks for the additional information, Paul.

About how long is the "quite a while" it's been taking 1P mini to respond before you can use Password Generator or access other data there? Is this consistent every time you open 1P mini?

To email us a Diagnostics Report see these instructions:

Sending us your Diagnostics Report to help us help you!

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forum, but do include a link to this topic and your forum username in the email so we can "connect the dots" when we receive it. A quick comment here mentioning that you've sent it would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

    Hi

    Ill create a report now.

I would say, on average it maybe freezes for 2 minutes, but i have not timed it.

Its not happening every single time, but i would say 80% / 90% of the time.

    Creating the report now

    Thanks

    Hey Paul,

Thanks for sending the report. I hope Chris' suggestion to reinstall the 1P app (which includes 1Password mini) will resolve your problem.
