MAC OS 10.6.8 syncing with iOS 7 iphone

Received a new iPhone 5S for Christmas. I use a iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Do I have to upgrade my Mac OS in order to sync between the older Mac and the new iPhone if I am purchasing both of the new 1Password app for both devices?

Hey @hdoakes,

You can download 1Password 4 for iOS from the App Store for your iPhone 5S.

And for the iMac running OS X 10.6.8 you can download 1Password 3 for Mac. To use 1Password 4 for Mac you need OS X 10.8 or later, so you'd have to upgrade your iMac to Mavericks if you want to use 1Password 4.

Syncing

1Password 4 for iOS --> 1Password 3 for Mac

You are able to sync, but you must use Dropbox.

1Password 4 for iOS --> 1Password 4 for Mac

Your sync options are iCloud, Dropbox, or wi-fi.
