Syncing Issues
I have been using 1password 3.7.2 on my ipad for some time. I wanted to sync to iMac and iPhone so I purchased 1P4 for Mac. Did I just throw away $35? If I spend another $10 to for the new IOS app, can I transfer the Dara from the old version somehow? After reading threads and searching the internet for an hour and a half, all I can find out is what I cannot do. I cannot use dropbox on one, wifi on the other or itunes. I need to find out what I CAN do to get my data from the ipad to the iMac and the iPhone AND what I CAN do to sync them in the future.

First of all, here's a link to some info about the changes to syncing in 1Password 3 for iOS (due to depreciated Dropbox API):
If you use 1Password 3 for iOS and Dropbox sync, take action by September 1
Basically, there are two options for you to continue to keep everything in sync:
Upgrade to 1Password 4 for iOS (it has an import function to get your data from iOS v3). A purchase of iOS version 4 will work for all iPhones or iPads you own running iOS 6 or later. Then, you'll be able to sync with 1Password 4 for Mac using iCloud, Dropbox, or wifi. And there's lots of other great new features too.
Or, you can use 1Password 3 for Mac as an intermediary between version 3 on iOS and version 4 on Mac. Follow the instructions here (post #13) by Megan if you're interested. Then you can use wifi sync between the version 3 apps while still using 1Password 4 for Mac. If you need to re-download 1Password 3 for Mac, here's a direct link.

Thank you for the speedy response. I vaguely remember some sort of notification that I need to upgrade. I deleted V3 from my Mac per V4 installation instructions, so I will get the newer IOS version now that I know there is an import function available. I do love 1password, but found it very frustrating that I was directed to V4 & told about the great syncing features without warning of the compatibility of the different versions.

I purchased iOS v4. The import function prompted me to open the old version. I did that and nothing happened; no import. Is there a way to try again? Can't find the option to import on the menu.
