1Password failed to connect to 1Password Mini
Started today after the 4.1.3 update. Unable to access any passwords, so I'd consider this, as a user who needs them, a critical issue.

I get the same thing after I switched to another account on the same Mac. It works in the original account, but the new account presents the same dialog/message.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry you're both getting this 1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini error. Which version of OS X are you each running?
@grando: Please try restarting your system, if you haven't already done it, and see if that resolves the problem.
@TimAntler: If you run 1P4 in the original account, then press Control-Command-Q to Quit 1Password and 1Password mini there, are you then able to run 1P4 normally under the other account?
If either of you are still stuck with the error after that please send a Diagnostics Report from your Mac so we can resolve this more quickly through email; instructions are here:
Sending us your Diagnostics Report to help us help you!
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forum, but do include a link to this topic and your forum username in the email so we can "connect the dots" when we receive it. A quick comment here mentioning that you've sent it would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same problem, although I don't have any additional user accounts on my system using 1Password. I haven't been able to launch 1Password for at least 4 days, though I don't remember updating. After the issue started occuring I downloaded the latest update from the website and installed it, same issue occurring.
FWIW, I sync to Dropbox and can still open my HTML site and luckily find my passwords. However, this sucks.

Hi, @roopesh.
I'm sorry you've been having trouble launching 1Password 4. I've responded to your email about this, suggesting the first thing to try is reinstalling the application. I see in your followup the reinstallation didn't fix the problem so we'll continue this conversation in email to get this resolved.

I just did a brand new Mountain Lion 10.8.1 install, and did the combo upgrade to 10.8.5. The system is extremely clean and otherwise working fine. But every time I try to launch 1Password 4, I get a spinning beach ball for about 15 seconds and then I get the same message the others in this thread have mentioned:
"1Password failed to connect to 1Password mini".
I deleted the App and all prefs, and installed again. I say 'install' but agilebits didn't really provide an installer per se, I just copy/drag the application (that I downloaded from the link provided when I purchased) back into the Applications folder and relaunch with the same results.
I would send a diagnostics report, but I am not given the opportunity to send a report... just a Quit button and that's it
Someone on another page mentioned something about 1Password keeping something in User>Library>Container. I have nothing for agilebits or 1Password in that folder. So, I'm kind of stuck here in urgent need of my passwords. I guess I can install v3, but I'd rather not.
1Password is among my primary needs (after Mail). Any solutions yet? Any suggestions?
Rob

Hi @atagliata,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble here. Did you try generating a Diagnostic Report as outlined in this support article?
http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/diagnostic-report.html
If you are able to, we'd love to see a Report, as it will give us a much better idea of what is going on inside your system. Please follow the instructions above to generate a Report.
Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
