"Preferences" in v4.1.2 has no "Check for Updates"; doesn't allow for Dropbox sync

1Passwords instructions for various things tell me to first go to Preferences and do a "Check for Updates". Problem is, in my v4.1.2 there is no Check for Updates! Similarly, the web site tells one how to set up Dropbox syncing. Problem is, under referenced "General" pane, there is no mention of Dropbox syncing. Very frustrating.

    As to the first point, you are using a Mac App Store version and the checking for updates is done from the App Store app on your Mac.

    As to the second point, does this knowledge base article help? (I assume you've not referred to that as I can't find in it any reference to a "General" pane!)
