"1Password" is damaged and can't be opened. Delete "1Password" and download again from the App Store

Error message I receive upon logging on to my MacBook Air.

The app still works from my Chrome extension - manually sort of. But I can't log on at start. Full disclosure - I am not technical.

  1. How do I delete and re-install?
  2. Will I lose all my passwords?
  3. Do I have to pay for the app again?

You can drag 1Password to the Trash on your computer to delete it. So long as you are not using an app cleaner app (edit: i.e., something that offers to delete files other than just the 1Password 4 app itself) you will not lose data. You will be able to re-download from the App Store because 1P4 will already be on your list of purchased apps. You should not have to pay again.
