Want to use 1Password in Chrome using extension with both Windows and Mac

I have 1Password for Mac and Windows.
I use Chrome on both platforms.
I use 1Password Chrome extensions.

They don't seem to play nice with each other.
When I open Chrome on my Mac I have 2 1Password extension icons.
When I open Chrome on my Mac using Windows, I get an error message.
I use a MacBook Pro using OSX 10.9.1
I use Bootcamp to boot my Mac into Windows 7.

    Hey @stevelasvegas,

    1Password 3 and the current version of 1Password for Windows require a different browser extension than 1Password 4 uses. The extension was completely rewritten for 1Password 4, so it is not backwards compatible.

    The only solution for this issue is to completely disable extension sync in Chrome and use the appropriate 1Password extension on each computer. Please go to chrome://settings/ and select Advanced Sync Settings. 'Sync Everything' is enabled by default. Click to 'Choose what to sync' and uncheck extensions.
