Password generator generates passwords that are too short

Hi,

I think I've found a bug in the 1Password mini password generator.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Using Safari, right click on an input box
  • Select password generator
  • Select "None" for separators
  • Set the password length to e.g. 12
  • Now count the number of characters. It's shorter than it's supposed to be.

I'd post a screenshot, but I can't see a way to attach images to this post - which is just bizarre for a bug reporting channel.

I'm running Version 4.1.3 (413002)

    Hi @bluezap,

    Our developers have been working on a bug where the 'Pronounceable' option in the password recipe can throw off password length. Could you tell me if you have pronounceable checked or unchecked when you are generating these incorrect length passwords?

    In any case, this bug has been properly squashed, and the fix will be released in a future update. In the meantime, if you need the password length to be exact, please disable the pronounceable option.

    And for future reference, to post an image to the forums, simply the image to a service like Dropbox and use the image icon to attach a link to your reply. :)
