Hi all
when I type e.x gmail.com in the addess-Bar, I expect that 1Password fill automatically the Username and Password - and I click OK (I fought it was like that in 1Password v3) - but now I always have to click on the 1Password-Key-Icon and select the correct suggest Login to log me on????
(that means i have to do 2 clicks by the mouse - thats not usability!)

it should work like a browser - if you saved the password - it automatically fill the forms the next time you open the website.

i hope you understand my bad english - i just like to enter an address on a browser and 1password should fill the forms (user/password) without (!) clicking something!

do you can help me?
thank you much!

greetings actino

    Hi @actino,

For security reasons, 1Password will not fill anything without you specifically telling it to, so what you suggest is not quite possible.

However, your browsing experience can be almost this automatic if you change what you are doing just a little bit. Instead of typing the URL into the address bar of your browser, try this:

    • Click the 1Password key in the menu bar (or use the shortcut - ⌘) to open 1Password Mini
    • Start typing the title of the Login you want to use
    • When the correct Login is highlighted, press 'Enter'
    • 1Password will open the page and log you in!

I hope this helps explain how 1Password works - if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help!

    Hi Megan
many thanks for your fast answer! Im so stupid - with the autofill-shortcut there is a very easy (fast/usability) way to do a login! in case of security, anyway i expect a confirmation of the suggestion fill form. But with the autofill-shortcut is the way much easier - i had a miss-focus about the problem. I mean - thats perfect with your help - im so sorry for my questions. Thanks much, greetings actino (closed)
