lost data
1password 3 is filled with data. I have a dropbox sync. and I exported a .pif file to my desktop. None of the methods is able to import the data into 1password 4. I,ve never seen the opening screen on which I could choose "existing user" or "new user". It does import the .pif file but the vault stays empty. Making a new vault does not work either, but gives an error message. I have redownloaded and reinstalled 1password 4, license is ok.
But never the less not able to fill the vault with the old data. Who can help?

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having trouble getting your data into 1Password 4! If your data is already in Dropbox, there should be no need to export your data as a .1pif file. Let's try Starting Over with 1Password 4. Please ensure that you are logged in to your Dropbox account on your computer so that your 1Password.agilekeychain is accessible, and 1Password should locate your datafile automatically. There is also a guide to Helping 1Password find existing data in Dropbox if 1Password does not find it immediately.
If you are still having trouble after starting fresh, please let me know and we'll do some further investigating!

Sorry but that is what I've been doing. This file is in my dropbox "1Password.agilekeychain" but 4 greys it out so I cannot import it.

If you are unable to select the 1Password.agilekeychain file itself, can you select the folder that holds the 1Password.agilekeychain?

No I cannot it is not in a folder just in dropbox. Neither can I make a new datafile because syncing does not work anymore in 3

When I Open the keychain in the finder it says "the file has already been synchronized" but there are no data.

I still have a complete version of 3.8 with all data intact
