Data lost

I've been using 1Password for years. Upgraded to V4 a few months ago without issue. All has been working well and syncing correctly via Dropbox between my Mac, iPhone and iPad. Today, all of a sudden for no apparent reason, all my passwords are gone in the Mac version. In the sidebar, above "Favorites", I see a long random number. 9223372036854775807.

I quickly turned off syncing on my phone, and the data on there appears to be safe. Any idea what is going on?

OK, I was able to fix this using this post: http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/start-over.html

I'd still be curious to know why this happened. Now I'm off to create some backups.

Hi @Nigelc,

I'm sorry for the scare there! That just means the data file was locked before 1Password opened it. This error usually shows up when users have their home folder stored somewhere other than their computer. Is your home folder stored on a server?
