Licensing issue on upgrade to v4?
hey folks,
I've been a long time user of 1password, registered previously, and after switching from PC to mac a couple of weeks back bought V4 via the app store. Both my app store purchase and my 1password license are linked to the same email address.
I didn't get sent a license for the purchase via the mac store, though every time I ask for one to be sent via the website and enter it in the software I get the license key through for my windows version, not the mac one I purchased.
Don't mind paying for a cracking product (£34.99 I think I paid?), though need the licensing issues resolved please.

Since you've purchased 1Password 4 from the Mac App Store you'll be able to download/install it using the Apple ID that you originally used when purchasing.

No separate license is required. :)
Is it possible you've downloaded, installed, and are trying to use and license the website version of 1Password 4 instead? If that's the case, and especially if you currently have 1Password data in it that you'd like to preserve, you could simply download 1Password 4 from the Mac App Store and never run it. Then when you run the website version again it will automatically be licensed by detecting and copying the 1P4 MAS version receipt. That would save you the trouble of moving your data from the website to MAS version.

ahh, indeed - I had two versions installed (odd, as I didn't remember installing the other) - I've uninstalled the conflicting version and all is now spot on - cheers :)
