Minor visual bug in 1Password Mini Favorites Menu

Hi, I just noticed this after the upgrade to 4.2.2. I only have one Favorite in my menu, and the full title is only 4 characters long – but for some reason its still being truncated to only show the first letter and an ellipses.

In the context of my screen, it has a full 411px of extra space between the rightmost side of the favorites menu, and the right side of my desktop – so room isn't the issue here.

I closed 1Password and restarted and it still was there.

Again, this is NOT urgent for me – just wanted you to be aware of the bug.

This is on OS X 10.9.2, on a Mac Book Air 1.7 i7, with my laptop plugged into a 27" Apple Cinema Display (Non thunderbolt)

  • Hi @dougneiner,

Thanks for reporting this! I believe this has been fixed in the version 4.3 beta.

I'm not sure when 4.3 will be released, especially since 4.2 just came out, but please let us know if you still see any issues with this once 4.3 is out.

    Hi @dougneiner,

From 1Password 4 for Mac Release Notes, with Show betas enabled:

    • Fixed problem where the item title was truncated in 1Password mini.

I filed a bug report for this a couple weeks ago and have been unable to reproduce it in 4.3.BETA-4 so it is resolved at least to my satisfaction. :)

You're most welcome, @dougneiner. Thanks for confirming it's fixed for you, too. :)

And here's something new in the 4.3.BETA-5 update you might find useful:

    • Added keyboard shortcuts for switching vaults.

    Cheers!
