Having trouble editing a login
It's for Wikia. My 1P entry has the correct user name and password, but when logging into Wikia, it requires that you check the box that says 'Stay logged in'. If you don't check this box, it won't let you log in, it says that your session has timed out.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to edit my 1P entry for Wikia such that the checking of this box is always done (currently, the entry only fills in the user name and password, it doesn't click the box). How do I do this?

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
Please try saving a new Login manually, with the Stay logged in option enabled, and see if that new item works correctly for you. It should have a keeploggedin field like this in its web form details:
If that doesn't help, can you mention which versions of the 1Password application and extension are you running? Thanks!

It won't work. I followed the steps in 'saving a login manually' but it won't do it. It doesn't do anything at all when I click on that gear symbol - doesn't ask me for a name to save the login as, or anything. (I'm running 1P version 4.1.2)

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
I'm sorry it's not working for you. Let's see if we can figure out where the trouble is.
Are you entering your Username, Password, and selecting Stay logged in in the Log in popup on the http://www.wikia.com/Wikia page?
Immediately after doing that, when you click the gear symbol in 1Password mini does its preferences open and can see Save new Login there? Similar to this:
Are you able to manually save Login items for any other pages?
Here's a generic Login item for the http://www.wikia.com/Wikia page that you can download/import/test:
If that works correctly you can change the username and password fields to your personal values.
I hope that helps. :)

Saving logins manually still won't work. I click on the gear symbol and nothing happens.

You can adjust your1PW entry so that it automatically fills username and password but does not submit. That should let you click in the checkbox and submit.

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
Thanks so much for clarifying the situation here! There is a bug that our developers are currently tracking down where 1Password may not allow you to save a new Login when the details are the same as the details already saved in 1Password. In this case, all we need to do is edit your existing entry and add an "old" to the end of your username. Then when you follow @sjk's instructions above, 1Password should provide the 'Save new Login' popup when you request it.
I hope this helps, but we're here if you have any further questions!

^ I tried that too (editing the name of the existing entry) and it didn't work either.
Although: In the entry for Wikia that I have, it already has the "keeploggedin" under 'web form details.' But it still won't check the box when I log in.

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
I'm sorry your 1Password usage is still troublesome with this site. Have you tried using the generic Wikia.1pif item I posted earlier? Which web browser and version of the 1Password extension for it are you using? We appreciate your patience and help with getting this working properly.
Thanks!

Firefox 28
1Password extension 4.1.00 -
Thanks, Mr. Laser Beam.
It would still be great if you could give that sample Wikia.1pif item a try. :)
Earlier you mentioned:
I click on the gear symbol and nothing happens.
Did you click it right after entering your Username, Password, and selecting Stay logged in in this Log in popup on the http://www.wikia.com/Wikia page?
Can you manually save a new Login on any other sites?

I tried the generic PIF. It didn't work. It behaved exactly like my existing Wikia entry - it filled in the username and password, but did not click the box.
As for saving new logins on other sites: Yes, that will work.

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
I'm sorry that's still not working for you.
We've made a ton of improvements to browser extension in version 4.2, which is currently in beta. That's what I'm using, and am able to correctly fill on that site.
It's possible that the new version would fix the issue with that site. If you'd like to wait for it to be released, it shouldn't be too much longer.
Or, you could install the beta version right now. Simply uninstall the old extension from your browser, and download the beta:
Safari: https://agilebits.com/browsers/download/safari?beta=true
Chrome: https://agilebits.com/browsers/download/chrome?beta=true
Firefox: https://agilebits.com/browsers/download/firefox?beta=trueI hope that helps! :)

^ If only Apple would stop dragging its heels and allow 4.2 to be released, I'll be sure and try it...

Hi Mr. Laser Beam,
The browser extension is separate from the main 1Password app, and does not need to be approved by Apple.
Version 4.2 of the extension is simply not finished yet, therefore still in beta. :)
