Gear Animation while Sync in progress is gone

I noticed that the Gear Symbol in the menubar at the bottom used to turn when a sync is in progress. It seems that its no longer animated. I really liked that feature. Can you bring it back?

    That spinning gear is the subject of much debate both internally and externally. I can't say whether or not we'll be bringing it back, but I can say that we're continuing to discuss it.
