1Password acts like I'm a new user

Strange goin's on...

One day this week, when I click to launch 1PWD, it acts like I am just installing v. 4 for first time. Asks if I am new or existing. I click existing and choose on this mac.

It asks for location of keychain. I have no idea.

I can tell you it regularly was backing up (somewhere on my harddrive).

Can anyone tell me how to direct it to my agile keychain so I can become operational again?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

    Hi Dave ( @privateer ),

It sounds like this is a problem with the 1Password application not recognizing its database. When you run the application are you able to select File > Restore… and open the Backup tab in the Preferences window with a list of backups you can choose from to restore? If that works, is there one you can try restoring and using that would have all of your necessary 1Password data?

Please let me know if that helps or if we'll need to find some other way to get 1Password working again with the correct data. Thanks!

I dont know if this is related but i setup my 1password today and every time i opened it it would show the getting started page and ask me again if i wanted the mini to run, the vault was setup fine but it was not saving preferences or remembering i had seen the getting started before. It sorted itself out after i rebooted....

  • I'm glad a restart fixed that for you, @ahaswell. :)

Please let us know if you run into any other trouble.
