Mini App doesn't Auto Lock
Just found that if Safari or 1Password4 is opened and Master Password entered to gain access to logins etc that even after quitting either, the MiniApp in the top bar if open doesn't seem to AutoLock. Instead it shows all passwords and allows access to all secure details and logins.
Even reopening Safari or 1Password4 allowed access without requesting Master Password as it would seem the MiniApp isn't locked.

It might be worth just checking your lock settings under 1P4 > Preferences > Security.
Edit: corrected two transposed words—sorry!

Hi @Life's Good,
1Password 4 is either fully locked or unlocked, adjustable with the Auto-lock options under the Security tab of Preferences that @Stephen_C mentioned. There are no separate locking options for the main application, 1Password mini, and browser extensions.
Locking is handled by 1Password mini, which powers the interface for both the 1Password browser extensions and main application.
I hope that helps clarify 1Password 4 (un)locking behavior. If you still have any questions or issues please let us know.

Stephen_C & sjk,
Thanks. I had played with the setting in 1P4>Preferences>Security prior to posting, however to no-avail.....
Scenario1 (Least used): Open 1P4, unlock it(mini unlocks also), close 1P4 and 1P4mini locks also. Sweet!!
Scenario2 (Most used): Open Safari, unlock extension(mini unlocks also), close Safari and 1P4mini remains unlocked? I haven't found a setting to lock it on exiting Safari (i.e. The extension)? Also if you open 1P4 after closing Safari, 1P4 is all unlocked as it sees Mini is unlocked i guess!
As a user I hardly ever go into 1P4. More often than not I open Safari, unlock 1P4 extension then click on the logins I wish to visit, logging out of specific sites when finished. I then exit Safari expecting 1P4 extension to lock 1P4? But it doesn't seem to? 1P4mini remains unlocked for all to see who visit my Mac, which includes access to 1P4 as mentioned above cause it's unlocked when you launch it also.
This basically means that users have to remember to LOCK mini even after Safari has been quit?
If I'm doing something incorrect or have missed a setting please inform. But I've tried all different combinations and mini remains unlocked no matter what I do. Only if quitting Main1P4 does the mini lock also.

Sorry, but there is no option to lock 1Password upon quitting your web browser.
I suppose something like a Lock when web browser is quit option could maybe be added (not sure about the technical limitations). It does raise an issue of what to do when multiple browsers are running, which extends it to being an option for every browser with a 1Password extension. Plus there are cases when it's desirable for 1Password to remain unlocked when quitting browsers, e.g. for followup access to 1Password mini. The added complexity can outweigh the benefit. But new conditions/options for 1Password auto-locking are still under consideration. :)
Quitting 1Password mini will force 1Password to be locked when the main app or mini is reopened, or an extension is activated. It's probably more convenient simply to use the Control-Option-Command-L shortcut from mini to do the locking, even outside the browser, e.g.:
- Option-Command-\ (Show 1Password mini)
- Control-Option-Command-L (Lock)
There's probably a way to combine that with quitting Safari using an Alfred workflow, Keyboard Maestro macro, etc.
Please let us know if you have other questions! :)
