Using the browser in 1Password on the iPad with an external keyboard...

Hi,

I'm using the 1Password App on my iPad and use the built in browser. I have an external keyboard attached and I'm writing this article here with this setup. I'm experiencing the following after an certain amount of time the 1Password App is closing down and I have to unlock it again. Is this just a setting or a bug? Because I was thinking as long as I type the time would not be counted down until 1Password would go into lock!? Also when I browse 1Password is locking from time to time although it is in use.

I'm using the current most recent version.

Any hints?

    Hi @Yogie,

    Unfortunately, typing on the keyboard does not prevent timeout. I believe the reason being that it doesn't pass along system events to the app to keep the timer in check, and I'm not sure if there is anything we can do about this issue.

    You'll just need to extend the time before auto-locking. Head to Settings > Security and increase the time before the app requests either your quick unlock code or the master password.

    Sorry I don't have a better answer.
