1PW4 with multiple Dropbox accounts

I'd like to have two vaults both on my Mac

• VaultA syncs to Mac and PC via Dropbox Account A
• VaultB syncs to Mac and iOS Device via Dropbox Account B

I was having some issues getting this setup and after finally getting it to work ( i think ), I wanted to confirm there wouldn't be any issues with this setup.

• First I setup my primary vault on Mac and setup dropbox sync with first account and PC. This works fine.
• Next I attempted to create a second vault on my mac and set the share location to my second dropbox account. When trying to connect on my iOS device, I get an error, that the VaultB could not be found on dropbox (it is there).

• As a workaround, I created the second vault starting in iOS app, then went back to my Mac and double-clicked the file. This prompted me to create a new vault on my Mac - which is secondary to my primary vault.

• So on my Mac I have access to both vaults.

• On PC, I have access to Primary vault via dropbox acct A
• On iOS device, I have access to Secondary vault via dropbox acct B.

Any issues with this setup? I don't want to merge the two vaults and wanted to ensure the data was stored completely separate on the two dropbox accounts.

Is there an easier way to do this? Why couldn't I create the second vault on my Mac first and sync via second dropbox account (this would be much easier to setup)?

I don't see any problems with that, as long as it is working well for you. I'm not sure what method you are using to have two Dropbox accounts on your Mac (Dropbox business user maybe?), but it sounds like it should work.

I spoke too soon, as the iOS sync is no longer working (1PW iOS app showing errors about not being able to sync). A more basic question would be: can iOS 'recognize' any vault that is NOT a primary vault? I'm not talking about syncing multiple vaults here (I know that's being worked on). I simply want to create two vaults on my Mac, share the second one with another DB account, and sync my iPad to that second vault.

So it's really the only vault in that second dropbox account. And the only vault on my iPad. How would I go about setting this up?

Is there any way to have the iOS app find a vault that does not have the standard name 1Password.agilekeychain (it would be something like Vault2.agilekeychain). This would be the ONLY vault in that DB account.

I'm sorry you're having trouble here. At this point, the iOS app is programmed to look for the 1Password.agilekeychain in the default location in Dropbox. As you mentioned, we're working on helping iOS handle multiple vaults, and part of that includes helping it recognize keychains with 'vaultname'.agilekeychain. The set-up you suggest should work, although it is not something that we have tested thoroughly.

Could you tell me what error message you are seeing from the iOS app? That could help us track the issue down.
