Newbie questions: switching browsers & auto-fill [resolved]
So when I press the settings gear on my iPad version of 1PW4(v 4.3.2), and select a different browser (for instance Safari) and then I attempt to run a LOGIN the browser remains 1Browser. Is that normal? Am I misunderstanding this setting?
And a related question is, can I use 1Password to fill in user names and passwords while browsing in Safari? Meaning can I go to a site in Safari and then have 1PW4 function as an "auto-fill" tool that would work similarly to the Apple iOS auto-fill... without having to work from the 1PW4 app?
Thanks,
Victor

When you choose alternative browsers in settings, you are telling 1Browser to identify itself to the web site as the browser you choose. This sometimes helps with web sites that don't work quite right with 1Browser. You don't actually switch to a different browser.
And, unfortunately, Apple keeps other apps from interacting with Mobile Safari in a way that would permit autofill and automatic submission of credentials. That's way 1Password has 1Browser embedded in to. There are lots of other applications that incorporate internal browsers for the same reason. In the case of 1Password, the main issue is that Apple won't permit installing extensions.
